You can't back out now.  Can you imagine the disappointment it will cause King Buzzo to find you've stood him up at their very first Alaskan show?

will be headed down from Fairbanks, +1.

yes, there is a hostel, it's part of the "chain" of them on the west coast (think downtown Seattle, SF, Santa Cruz, that group).

tourist hotel rates may be in effect, but there's PLENTY of hotels there.

does anyone know their recording policy?

Melvins are ok with it.  Sometimes the venue might forbid it, but..I really doubt the venue in Alaska will care.

September 5th seems to be the start of the cheap season as far as hotels go. There are a lot of them and seem pretty competitive.

most likely right after Labor Day, so makes sense...Denali seems to shut down Sept 15, with a 2 week discount period before that.

ballsdeep

why do I have a feeling this thread will be busier come the first part of Sept?

is there anyone here who can author a dvd (Sony cam, MTS files) and synch up external audio?

ballsdeep

have networked with other tapers and have 7-8 of the gigs covered so far.

gonna be a fun "weekend".

ballsdeep

if not mistaken, the venue holds roughly 1200 for GA capacity.

hopefully they fill it up good, I talked 2 buddies into going as well.
