Will sealed copies of Freak Puke become more valuable?
« on: September 30, 2012, 10:40:30 AM »
I finally got a sealed copy of Freak Puke off Ebay for $51 including priority shipping.  I'm pretty sure that I'll open it but that got me thinking.  It seems like just about everyone is opening their copies.  Does that mean that in a year or so sealed copies will become much more valuable than the opened ones.  If I can get another at a reasonable price (like off Am Rep) I'll probably keep it sealed.  I'm not in this for the money.  I've never sold a single Melvins item.  They're mine to treasure but a sealed copy would be another treasure of MINE.
What do you think?
There's a lot of things blamed on me that never happened.  But then, there's a lot of things that I did that I never got caught at.

I think anything sealed is always going to be more valuable than opened.
MELVINS are best when opened. 8)

If one disc in this set becomes more popular than the others, and demands more cash from a collector to get, then you need to know if you have that disc. If all the discs remain at the same price then leaving your copy unopened doesn't matter. Keep your copy unopened until there is a need to know what's inside. And no peeking!

An unopened Melvins record is worthless. An opened Melvins record that is played is priceless.

Open your toys and play with them.
