Green River does Leech

Green River is the band that had parts of Mudhoney in it. The song "Leech" by the Melvins is actually a Green River song. If you guys want the original version of Leech, GET IT WHILE ITS HOT!

It's still not in *.mp3 format . But renaming the file into 'Leech.mpg' will make it playable.

I have 10 live mp3's from a Green River show (apparently their 1st) dated 01-07-84 and they played Leech too. So it's really Leech.

I spoke to Buzz. He said the first time he heard Green River played Leech, he knew it would fit them great. He said it to Jeff Ament, and he told him he could have it. Buzz also said it is one of his favourite Melvins song.

As far as I know Green River did not put this song on any of their records?

buzz liner notes to the gluey porch treatments rerelease say that leeech was originally by green river but jeff ament told buzz that they hated it because it was too repetitive and they only recorded for thier first demo tape and I guess that's where delerium got it

Yeah, I know. Buzz called them suckers for giving them the song. Maybe Jeff could be making real music if the grunge haden

They put the it on "Swallow My Pride" which isnt really an official release as it came out long after they broke up. The record is extremly rare, although I am sure there are a couple of copies on Gemm.
