Volume 1 was kick-ass good fun! Will be great to see more Volumes and soon! Interesting song selection, too. Very much enjoyed the revisits of 2 Big Biz era songs. Especially enjoyed Steven's bass work on the Kicking Machine. The whole show sounded super great!
The interviews were hilarious, enlightening, new questions never asked. Hot Damn!
Well done, the Melvins, well done.
🖤
What a fabulous room. Are all these your guitars?

Easily the best streaming event I have seen. Entertaining all around. Really well made. I would watch a weekly version of this.

I never realised that Buzz sang "vaccination" in the words to this song. I always thought it was "fascination". Probably an apt choice to open the show up with i suppose.

I would've preferred an actual live set rather than a pre-recorded thing personally but was happy with the thang regardless

Pretty much. It's one they return to time and time again. Too much for my liking personally.

I imagine then that it must be a fun song for them to play, evidenced by the fretboard dances of mssr.McDonald. i gave it the devil's horns in appreciation.

A monthly show would be welcome here.

The production value was good.

I thought the interview questions were sort of generic... Like arents these mostly the questions you'd hear over and over from random rock journalists? But then the stories went to new places.

I really liked the Void Manes section. That was probably the most unexpected and menacing section.

This was probably my favorite version of Evil New War God.

Kicking Machine and Anaconda and Honey Bucket are songs I always want to see in concert, but seeing it on the small screen it was way less engaging than in a loud club. I hope they venture further into the catalog on future streams.

All in all, well worth the price of admission for me. Dale looks healthy as fuck on the kit. I hope he's not just hiding agony.

Foot fetishism means love, because, it's the magic of feet odor... Long live depravation.

I just watched the show. Entertaining and awesome! I bought the shirt; I decided against buying the poster since I spent too much for the holidays.

The opening beer sequence reminded me of the beginning of Metallica's "Cliff 'Em All" VHS. Anyone else notice (remember) that?

One question: What is the song playing while Steven and Buzz are in the gas station buying beer? I would love to know.

[Edit] Screw it. I just bought the poster.

Im warming to him a little. His personality obviously gels well with Buzz and Dale. As a bass player he is clearly capable too. Im just not into his goofy antics and more pop derived sensibilities. Although not terrible, i definitely don't want another 'Whats Wrong With You' type Melvins song.

I wonder what will happen to these videos after the 7 days of availability is up. It feels like a shame to me for them to be lost to the internet ether. Im hoping someone uploads them elsewhere or the band make them viewable in some other form for archival purposes at some point. I wonder if it could be something cool to put out a Melvins TV DVD collection of all the various performances and clips that will eventually make up this series. Equally i wonder just how many volumes they will create or have in the pipeline ready for future broadcast.
