something needs to be visibly different on the cover or back cover (or spine) to distinctively tell these two versions apart, right?
When Nude With Boots was recalled (warping, remember?) the replacements came with a sleeve that had a small "JK2" on the back that the original didn't.

I didn't know they offered replacements. I remember it being the same kind of deal as this senile animal. Kind of " send it back if you're not happy" and that was it. Was that a JK2 a sticker on the shrink or what?

Also, I keep reading it was 1000 copies that are messed up, that's the whole pressing right? They don't use different stampers for different colors.  The limited one was 500 copies so that means the normal blue is 500 as well haha. Those slick bastards.
The normal blue is advertised as 3000. How many can you press before you need to replace the stamper?

The Nude With Boots thing was printed on the sleeve:

Ah ok, I'm a moron. I missed that somehow. And i don't know about the stamper, that's a good question. So does this mean there are copies out there that aren't fucked?  I thought it was the whole pressing

Ipecac said 1000 (out of 3500) are affected. If we assume approx 1000 pieces per stamper before it needs to be replaced, there would be three knocking around. Maybe one of these was overlooked. But why would the track list change between stampers? Is each stamper programmed manually? I have no idea what I'm talking about, btw, I've never seen inside an LP factory.

Maybe they were made in two different places? Southern might manufacture the European ones and Fontana or Caroline the U.S. ones.

Maybe the winner of the next Melvins competition can get a tour of one of these places and report back.

*edit*  This is informative.

In true Ipecac fashion, my fucking ASA is so warped it's unplayable. I'm returning this bullshit.

Got an email exactly like that, but with my name at the top. They should take our details and post us out the correct record, instead of adding us to a mailing list for another lottery

Un-freaking-believable . There's just no excuse for this. No fucking QC at that plant. I will send mine back for a refund and re-order for end of year. While they're at it, why not just scrap the double-45 plan and just go with a single record. The CD clocks in @ 41:22, so why drag it out to 4 sides?
My recent vinyl copies of H.A.T., WWG, & GPT all sound fine, but I think the speed may be off slightly on these(AsA & Bride). I never have to adjust the speed on my turntable. It stays true. I think these two new ones sound slightly slower than the CDs.

It will be a collectors item someday, that's what the Ipecac guy said, I'd hang on to it.

Do you really think so? The warped missing song version?

It all depends on how many ipecac get back. 1000 is a lot, so the more they get back the better. Then time depicts it's increase. I'll keep mine, like the nwb 2008. I just tuck them away then buy it again. I have multiple copies as it is. I have 2 copies of the zipper sticky fingers just because depending on if the zipper was up or down fucked a different track. Then I just bought the reissue to play
I heard their periods attract bears

I get why so not judging, but still if I stop for a second I'm like "that's a fucking paperweight."
