Is 'Mr Dog' a new song, or an new name for an old song?
Where did that one come from?? It's not listed on the page on that setlist site.

You know times are tough when TOOL are out there playing more varied sets than Melvins
Indeed. It makes one wonder why they even bother putting out new albums if they are never going to play any of the songs from them. Why not chuck a few Working With God tracks in there or any number of overlooked classics? It boggles my mind it really does. I would love to hear Buzzo's explanation why they don't delve into all that recorded history.
You know the deal. Buzz knows what's best for the band - blah, blah blah. If he only listened to fans they'd have had to pack it in years ago, don't question him on those decisions. =;
As far as the idea of playing H.A.T. in it's entirety? Only if Kevin's back in. Enough said.

i get having the same setlist for a single tour.  but i don't get having roughly the same setlist for years upon years.  esp when they have such a vast catalog.

but it's a quibble for the computer. tomorrow when the lights go down i'll be in bliss no matter what they play.  like i always think i could do without hearing 'the bit' again... and then when they play it i think 'omg best song ever.'

if you're at pappy&harriet's, say hi. but do it before the shrooms really kick in and i rip my shirt off and run off into the desert to hump a cactus

acid policy

all but 4 of those songs are on the acoustic album... is there confirmation one way or another regarding acoustic?

FartLips

maybe they think the ministry tour is still going. im just glad they got helms alee with them.

Ah so it's definitely correct then!

Bad mood rising....Is that like a CCR takeoff?
Either that or a reference to Sonic Youth. I wonder if that might be the title of a song or the album. When asked to describe this new album recently Dale did say it was "a bad mood".

I think that would probably be something close to the reply too.

I'm sure they could STILL do those songs with Steven or whoever else. Like Buzz says they aren't married to the recordings so they can make it work without Kevin's slide bass stylings.

It's definitely NOT an acoustic tour. The whole set is all electric.

True.

Let me politely disagree. I never want to hear Sway or Charlie ever again.

Just listened to that new 'Mr Dog' track! It's about 11 minutes long and i can see how it may actually not be just one song. It feels like two but we all know Melvins have a habit of writing songs that have two very distinctly different halves. Sounds cool though. I'll have to listen a few more times to "know" it. Also i noticed it starts off with the repeating drum thing that Dale did a little bit of with Roy Mayorga on the Ministry shows.

new song from the upcoming album
Yeah definitely. Or at least one strongly suspects so.
