I love "Pure Digital Silence" but I hate the intro. The song overall is phenominal.

It's nowhere near as bad as you think, Beto.
Give it another listen. Skip over some of the tracks and you'll enjoy it!  :D

So true. I hated it at first but then I listened to it
about twenty times in a row one day while doing
Nautilus and I enjoy it very much now.

beto diablo what you have to do is put yourself in this place.
imagine that you got $2000 american dollars out of
the blue and you had to record a 70 minute CD with no
songs prepared and no lyrics etc..

Most people would decline the offer to improvise an
album in a 2 week period with no songs prepared!
But our heroes the melvoids did it on PRICK baby!

well well, i have never really understood how FUNNY this record really is!
this could have been a butthole surfers release to, great fun :)

but there isnt "just" fun here, its a few pieces of good lo-fi avangarde music and good/bad ideas just layed out flat, its really cool :)

now i can say i like prick without thinking of the album as too much of a novelty album :)

That one track with the fast guitar licks is actually done by Mark D. Buzz hasn't the technique to actually play these fast notes. Mark D always was a guitarplayer, even before he joined the Melvins.
