I found a clip of Dale's Mork Hotel song, it's called Chirp Bird:

from what I understand, The Mork Hotel is a dive bar/flop house in Aberdeen/Montesano/Seattle??

The Mork was a disaster of a hotel in Aberdeen.  I think it got refurbished a few years ago.  Not sure since I try as much as possible to stay away from Aberdeen.

I'm such a sucker I'd probably buy an album of Dale just mucking around on his drumkit.
Don't click this

a lot of people on this board say altamont isn't that good b/c it doesn't sound new or anything,  to which i reply SHUT UP!
altamont is a band where dale is the lead and he sings and plays guitar so brilliantly, i lovvvvvvvve dale's style so much.
i was glad that nwb has him singing more, he has one of the coolest voices in rock, and he's very underrated.
i think that the melvins should let him sing more, he writes well and has just a great rock and roll voice.
it's simple, but verrrrrry different.  it's very dale, and dale's pure cool.
monkee's uncle is a brilliant release for them, the best.
i would like to see a band where he plays guitar and sings and buzz plays bass and coady plays drums, that would be insane.
they should do that more now where dale takes over, they have an extra drummer so they should take more advantage of that and put dale more in the spotlight.  i can tell that he has written some lyrics in nwb too, it has a lot of childish slurring rhyming that's just soooo great.  i love it.  when he comes in on vocals it's usually the high point of the song, and that's what i love, just so heavy.

buzz wise fantomas are great as well.  i let my gf listen to delirium cordia, which i would have never thought she'd like, and yet she lovvvvves it.  i think anyone who's a horror movie fan can get into fantomas, they play on great themes.  yet this isn't a buzz writing side project since patton does most or all of the writing, yet you can definitely know it's buzz playing guitar which is great.

i hope both bands put out a release sometime soon.

I am the Sun

Thrones' album sperm whale is great. I'd check that one out.

Andy Wood

On the Joe Preston EP:

1. The Eagle Has Landed - Smooth instrumental jazz punctuated with rain and a screaming child.
2. Bricklebrit - Heavy slab of industrial-sounding sludge. Drum machines and chugging riffs a-plenty.
3. Hands First Flower - 23 minutes of pure riffage. An ode to his days in Earth.
experimental industrial ambient nothings. give constructive/destructive criticism.

A friend of mine whom I think would like it otherwise doesn't like Fantomas at all because of the Patton connection. He likes horror movies and all but the only album he listened to at all was Directors Cut and he hated it.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.
