Not much of a review but I do think this record is a good one. I love all the noises. They really add up overall. I will say that Buzz really does know how to craft a fine full album listening experience. The depth is great and what you get out of repeated listens is incredible. I am not articulate enough to describe what it is i like so much about that unique lick in Short Hair with a Wig. Not sure where it would rank for me in comparison to all the albums since A Walk With... but it's up there for sure.

In Victory Of The Pyramids i just wish the rocking intro and then that first quickish part of the song with the lyrics after weren't on the record. It would make the whole thing a LOT better to my ears. That whole 4 minute section ruins everything. It's quite horrible plus destroys the flow of the album for me also.

No one is talking about how much Buzzo has been working on his vocals. He really stretches out on Short Hair with some high register notes and the chorus of King of Rome is also tuneful. The accents that Dillard throws in are starting to grow on me too. I like this  album a lot

Yes, definitely agree on the improved vocals here which I've struggled with on recent albums.

I wouldn't have thought that i'd have appreciated this album a lot more than the split with Napalm Death which is a bit meh imo

I like the two rockin' parts of "Victory of the Pyramids" before the long doomy section with the dissonant leitmotif. It's not quite "Water Glass" but it works for me in about the same way.

I haven't had a chance to sit down and listen to this yet. I need an afternoon off and a good pair of headphones.
Need to feel it.

I wonder what happened to that Haze Thunderball lino that he posted of him working on. Nothing has come of it yet. No AmRep edition or anything. I thought they may make something like that for this current tour. Perhaps it was for a poster maybe?

Maybe it drops in July or August and they get some out on the fall leg of touring that was hinted.

JUDY

It'll probably drop first in Minneapolis. Haze and Mackie-0 always balance their special releases.
