shit...i always read that as roman bird dog.....isn't the way it is?  it makes alot more sense.  a bird dog is a dog that hunters use when hunting birds, no?  maybe everyone on this forum just got confused, everyone is writing dog bird.

Unless someone out there actually has Lysol on vinyl we'll never know...

I always thought it was Romanian Bird Dog

eddie

so there is no true answer?

Jess

you guys are probably right on the shift from hung bunny to roman bird dog but couldn't it also be when dale stops drumming for a second around 17 or 18 minutes and the song then becomes different.if that makes sense.do yall know what im talking about?

eddie

there's a short pause, and then their's a cover song by Flipper called Sacrifice. Hope this is what you were talking about smokey.

Leroy

That Sacrifice song is so awesome!

Jess

naw man, before sacrifice.  i think the guitar by itself and then the kick ass song is all hung bunny.  but then there's a part when dale stops playing and then buzz starts another riff.  i think that's roman bird dog, like the last two or three minutes before sacrifice.  but i'm probably wrong.

turnacus

didnt i post the times?

okay, i know what your talking about smokey. It's still Roman Bird Dog. It's like you dont want the song to end, and then buzz goes into another riff.

if you seen the 2001 tour, during that break in the song, dale would stand up and kiss his biceps. It was cool.

Reverend Ebeneezer

I've been wondering, Buzz said that he booted Joe Preston for being lazy and unmotivated and it's true that he basically just ripped off Earth with his solo record, so I wondered if he had any input on the writing of With Teeth or Roman Bird Dog? I ask, because those are possibly my two favourite Melvins songs at the min, but with Lysol sporting two covers it doesn't seem as though the Melvins got too much work done with Joe in the band. Were they all Buzz or did Joe's unique brand of heaviness send the sessions in the direction they went?

it has been rumored that joe did in fact write with teeth.  of course there is no way to prove it, but that's what "they" say.
