You might like Patrick Wolf's recent album The Bachelor  which features Alec Empire. Patrick is an Emo god. He is not quite as Emo as Alec Empire though.

Well happy hardcore is basically a commercialised version of gabba so yes you could call it that.

nah early happy hardcore was more like jungle but not so dark. full of breaks, piano's and general high pitchedness. some of it was quite good. early kniteforce records and slammin vinyl 12's...
