Yeah, well i opened it up and could smell something strange (but good) and couldn't figure out what it was. So i just sniffed the cover and it was that. I guess it wasn't really an accident as such but....

It stinks of paint!
For your health!

I'm probably going to write a huge review of this in a little bit, but just one comment right now: The bass line for A History of Bad Men is pretty much exactly the bass line from The Man With the Laughing Hand is dead.

I was listening to The Crybaby last night, I realized the same thing. They're exactly the same! It can't be a coincidence...

You guys are smelling the vegetable based inks they used for printing.
They're enviro friendly and less expensive in relation to standard inks,
alot of the Ipecac CDs have that same smell.

I don't know man, it was more of a paper related smell.

I agree highly with Steve.

Anyone who thinks that SA is experimental in any remotely major way, hasn't heard the bulk of the Melvins records....and it's not necessarily their experimentability that makes me like the Melvins so much, more than that, it's the fact that they seem to do whatever the hell the want to do, pretty much never repeat themselves, and constantly put out material that's worth every penny paid for it.

While we're on the topic of the scent of cd's, smell the book in the panopitcon cd by ISIS.

don't bother talking to robsombie.

i'm an honest person for the most part:  it was me.
it was stupid and not really that funny.  i thought maybe i'd keep "him" going as a fan of bad music that's trying to understand the melvins....but it really wasn't worth it.  and it's pretty dishonest.  especially when i respond to him.

sorry
