Truly a badass album. Top tier material from the band for sure. Probably their very last awesome from start to finish record.

Will Melvins ever release anything this good again? Probably not but i'd absolutely love to be proved very wrong.

Remind you of a particular song on (A) Senile Animal? I don’t know much about Ministry but tell me someone else noticed this.

similar, yes. most people say this sounds like Night Goat. A History Of Bad Men to me is exactly the same riff as this one.

I definitely hear it in the song about the deceased gentleman holding the amused playing cards. Night Goat, though? No musician or discerning fan would ever hear that. Inside the music is an entire world that some people don’t seem to have access to.

I always wonder what (A)SA would be like if Kevin had stayed. I think it would have been even BETTER!! Also i must say if you are introducing a new listener to Melvins for the first time i believe this is the perfect album to use. It's not got much weirdness, it's concise and solid throughout plus features a collection of cool, fairly accessible tracks that give you good impression of what the rocking side of the band is like.
