Judge adds caning to killer's jail term

JOHOR BARU: Convicted killer Roslan Imun @ Mon, who admitted to shoving a stick into the anus of a 12-year-old boy and was jailed 20 years by the Sessions Court on Tuesday, was ordered to be given 20 strokes of the rotan.

Of the 60cm stick Roslan used, only 5cm was protruding from the boy's anus. The other end was protruding under his chest and pressing against his lungs. He had to be operated on and was placed in intensive care for two days.
According to the facts of the case, Roslan had stopped Mohd Shah and asked him to carry a sack of durians on his bicycle before punching him. When he regained consciousness, the boy discovered the stick shoved in his anus.
