You know that drum-duel part at around the 10 minute mark? My guess (and if I'm wrong, I don't know shit about shit) is that Dale plays in the left channel, and Danny C plays in the right channel. What do you guys think, and more importantly...WHY DO YOU THINK SO?

beee

of course dale is on the left,
danny is more tom tom stuff
also buzzo guitar is on the left
and adam's is on the right

awesome! I was wondering about that.

It seemed pretty obvious to me too, but I met a guy who didn't believe what I was saying. The guy is as dumb as a post, and just as deaf.
- Dale's drums sound (and are) bigger.
- You can tell that Dale is playing with massive, shovel handle drumsticks.
- Danny is faster, jazzier, more "wrist-orientated".
Anyway, it was a great idea for a song, and they're both amazing. Dale is still the king, though. Who else plays like that??? There are plenty of guys who play odd stuff, but Dale is a whole other ballgame. BORIS is a good example. He plays some FUCKED UP stuff on that song. Ah crap, I gotta go blow out my eardrums with Bullhead.

the drummer in my band, listened to it and heard it right away...
he said he recognized dales "sucky" sound...

he`s NOT a melvins fan...(even though he gets crazy and dances when i put on houdini or never breath...)

he likes Tool and Meshuggah but NOT the Melvins...STRANGE.

"that song is soopacool, ja?"

Brooklyns Finest PoonTang

it's my understanding that the melvins gave tool a tape that had a lot of silence sprinkled throughout the noise/beats/phone conversations. the opening part is the best, IMO. I would love to hear these two bands collaborate more.

Anybody else here find it hilarious when the guy on Divorced talks about the woman having a voice like a modem?  And then the band continues pummeling away, as if they're pissed off about her modem voice.

perzo)))

and that was recorded around the time dale did get divorced.
Again,a gorgeous tragedy approaches,in the wake of those thought contained. But sonic reverberations shake the very marrow of the fragile chamber of mans lifeforce, and again the minions quiver in fear,as daylight fails to come, and Melvins walk the battlefield, bored and hungry...

The first guy that mentions the modem is MJK and the other guy is Danny Carey.
