No mention of this London appearance on the Ipecac website, are you sure
it isn't just a DJ spinning the Melvins as part of his set??

This is the only upcoming show listed on the Ipecac site:

Melvins playing Houdini on ATP stage
May. 31, 2007
Barcelona, Spain
Primavera Festival

what i understand of the " Games for May " show that their to attribute. that it was a night of   "noise" and 'experimentalism"

incl. a bubble machine which wrecked the furniture.
a clue?
those that have seen porn lately know that bubble machines were pulled out as a finale enhancing experience across europe.

the lineup on this night (if it is this melvins, surely theres not two) will include Graham Coxan (ex blur)

I suspect it will be another COD type experience  feat. Moss on bubbles

im putting my faith in there being ticks on the door, or at least a not for profit but for the joy of giving scalper hanging around ..and.. of course it actually being the melvins

i say i can't, but i really mean i won't.

Keep us informed, this is quite the anomaly.

"To mark the fortieth anniversary of the concert, a selection of musicians are recreating the concert in a pair of shows being held at the end of this month, at the venue which saw the original show.

The concert (setlist below) featured material from the band's debut album, "Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" (which came out later that year) and was a ground-breaking multi-media event. With a primitive yet revolutionary sound mixer, quadraphonic sound was used to wow an audience whose senses were already being assaulted by a light show, taped effects, on-stage carpentry, the distribution of hundreds of daffodils (which were trodden into the carpets) and bubbles filling the air (and stained the upholstery!).

Nick Mason once said of the concert: "I think Games for May was one of the most significant shows we ever performed".

Acknowledging this significance, a selection of "special guest artists" will be recreating the show on May 26th and May 27th, at 7:30pm each evening. The first night features Robyn Hitchcock and Graham Coxon, and the second, The Melvins. Whilst the concerts should stick to the setlist below, we don't yet know if there are plans to include similar lighting or physical effects (such as the daffodils and bubbles, the combination of which got Pink Floyd banned from performing again at the venue!).

Here's what the original setlist consisted of:

    Dawn (tape recording)
    Matilda Mother
    Flaming
    Scarecrow
    Jugband Blues
    Games For May
    Bike
    Arnold Layne
    Let's Roll Another One
    Pow R. Toc H.
    Interstellar Overdrive
    Bubbles (tape recording)
    Ending (tape recording)

    Encore: Lucifer Sam"

in case anyone decided to make the pilgrimage across to london,
frantically emptying bank accounts....

don't

i went down to the venue earlier today
they couldnt work out was goin on,
but as far as they know there is no show on tomorow probably due to lack of ticket sales
i suspect melvins have been to busy over the last couple of months to learn and practice the tracks to put on a respectful show

and its raining all weekend

i say i can't, but i really mean i won't.
