BUZZO THE HEROIN SYRINGE WIELDING KILLER!

ah courtney love... when will you die?

anyway, buzz doesn't seem like someone that has ever been down with dope, i may be wrong, they seem like anything more than pot isn't/wasn't their thing.
this was pretty funny.

Buzz was a junkie and an alcoholic which is why he's so disdainful of drugs now.

I did'nt know he was  a "junkie" i just figured he saw what it a does to people first hand.

Idlehanz

If I remember right, Buzz had admitted to having a past with heroin.  I think he got off it pretty quick.

"Heh heh, you said he  'got off.'"

In an interesting interview with Mark D, he said he saw Buzz  using with Lori on a European tour.

Idlehanz

From what I remember, it was pretty early on in their career.  Mid to late 80's?

If it was during a European tour while Lori was in the band, I'd presume early 90's.  From what I can gather, she was probably fired after Buzz quit using drugs and felt she was too strung out to be a part of the band.  He just puts it nicely by saying she was "lazy."

I believe so; he was a big fan of Anna Karenina.

I think Idlehanz is right, that he got off it pretty quick (ha-ha-ha-ha-ha). I think it took place in the early 90s, I have had theories that Lysol could be a reuslt of this, and maybe the decision to do Dwight Frye. Also, I think Houdini was recorded a bit after Buzz stopped using. Maybe because it was the same period, and they had canned Lori - think about Buzz's and Lori's affair, of which Mark D spoke of - and that's why they ended recording it with the two of them. Also, I got a few bootlegs and Buzz didn't always look very healthy, or friendly in the case of that 'Hype' bass player, Dave something. Oh well, I'm not judging him by any means. As someone said before, I think Buzz might have had a past with that drug, and that that almost looks ugly, which it is, but that he got off it and learned how to deal with it, and knows what it can do to people and how it works.

I think all this speculation about buzz' use (or lack of) drug use is ridiculous.

If anything, we should not be listening to what a crack whore or a disgruntled past bass player has to say about Buzz.

very true.  i think buzz is very much a musical genius and that if he in fact did drugs or not has nothing to do with him as a person or musician, yet me being such a fan, it doesn't hurt to know.  most people here aren't parading around if he used or didn't since we all love the guy.  all the speculation and wonder is just giddy fan questioning.
i do want to know if he did use, big deal.  could have something to do with some of the songs we love.
yet, i'm not faulting him or accusing him of anything, everyone has the right to question.
as we all know buzz is very cryptic with his writings, this is just like trying to figure out what a song is saying or is...
now is that bad?

it's not like buzz has things written about him in depth like cobain.
i say, keep on questioning, we're not hurting anyone.
