Kevin Rutmanis

Why exactly was Kevin kicked out of The Melvins?  I remember in late 2004 they cancelled a ton of tour dates for some odd reason involving Kevin.  He got back together with them for one show in 2005.  Later that year news broke that he was no longer in the band.  All I remember was reading somewhere that Buzz said "there's only so much I could take" or something like that. 


Anybody know what went wrong?

we will probably never really know. but this is from the wikipedia which
buzz has been known to edit and update and it hasn't been removed as

 i recently heard from an unreliable source that he od'd on heroin and got sent away to an insane asylum for electroshock therapy. the irony is now clear..Kevin is an electroretard. the irony.. the metaphores the similies the ottomotopoieas ohhh the limmericks.

out of fantasy,he was kicked out cause was not able or didn't want to work seriously with the band.in my opinion the story is so clear that there is nothing to explain.i was very disappointed at the time,but seeing what kevin has done after the Melvins (nothing),think Buzz and Dale were forced to take the decison.about speculations,who know if was amphetamine or heroine?is not so important and Melvins aren't Guns n Roses

i asked him what happened and this is what he said:

"Melvins fired me for a variety of personal/professional reasons, all of which started with my drinking problem....I've been sober now 2 1/2 years...but there was more, and frankly it's just as well. Tomahawk never officially fired me, I just heard through the grape vine they werent using me! ouch! thats show biz."
