Now, i know Buzz can be difficult and obtuse during interviews, but to just flat out start insulting him is the most retarded form of journalism ive ever seen. I suppose it would be understandable if the journalist just got annoyed, but he obviously went in this interview with an agenda, and frankly he shouldnt have a job of he cant be professional. Scans below:

Wow.

What a strange interview.  I don't know, it's kinda hilarious at times.
I wonder why that guy wanted to do an interview in the first place. Only to talk shit and start a fight? Hmm..

Anyways.  Thank you for posting this, it was a very interesting read. :)

Have you seen the bridge?  I ain't seen the bridge!  Where's that confounded bridge?!

Buzz eats guys like that for breakfast.  Buzz held his own just fine.

"I am a fat, middle aged man who looks like Robert Smith, Kill Me"

That is nothing but a personal assult on Buzz and doesn't have shit to do with his musicianship or artistic vision.

I want to kick that fucken guy's ass.

Agreed, but i also get the feeling that Buzz would take the comment saying he wrote his best work 15 years ago as a much MUCH bigger insult.

Yeah, but at the same time I don't think he'd take that guys comments very serious. But of course, saying that Honey Bucket can never be topped is somewhat of an insult for a musician like Buzzo. Not that Honey Bucket is a bad song, I just wouldn't call it his best work after all they've done so far.

"I could write a better song with my asshole"

I laughed for a steady five minutes when I read that.

Some things are so nonsensical, that I have to wonder if it wasn't a little joke between them and the magazine.  I've never even heard of Terrorizer magazine, but the title makes me think of Metal Circus magazine, except dumber.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

Some writer was given an assignment to cover the new Melvins release and do an interview. He probably never listened to any Melvins music past Houdini or Stoner.
He does a little reserch on a few of Buzzo's interviews, gets some info from a fellow reporter and comes into the interview trying to out-do Buzz.

I can't believe the Magazine printed the interview.

TGH

That was so incredibly ridiculous and over the top. It has to be some sort of weird in-joke.
This isn't a time for lectures!

danimal

i don't think this is real.  maybe the guy is like some shitty ali g who writes for metal mags.

perusha

Exactly; I think so too.  Obviously a mag like Terrorizer knows who the Melvins are and not going to send someone who has zero understanding who they are and what they do.  I mean they just interviewed Buzz for that Tool issue.  I think this was just dripping with sarcasm and I found it to be quite funny.
I actually thought the best line was Buzz's take on UK artists...
