by the way...  notice at the beginning of Lizzy you hear that hollow wobbling sound? is this not the exact same sound that ends A Vast Filthy Prison?   what is that sound?

I don't want to be blasphemous here, but after listening to ASA continuosly
when I go back to this CD it sounds thin without dual drummers and vocals, 
I suppose they will have to do the 3rd version of Houdini  very soon with the new
4-pc rock machine, juggernaut of mayhem that is the current beauty of a line-up!

I wouldn't consider that blasphemous.  I know what your getting at.  But Live 05 is heavy in it's own right because it's been re-recorded with newer equipment, newer methods, and so on.  And so it just sounds heavier than the original Houdini to me.  And it made a few songs ( mostly Sky Pup ) just sound so much better.  I'll still spin Houdini, but Live 05 is getting more playtime in my car and home.

As far as a third version with the current line-up......of course I'd buy it.  I think Glen said something about anything with the name Melvins branded on it?  I'm all over it.

It's also much faster. My favorite improved song on the new Houdini is definitely Spread Eagle Beagle.

I always think of this record as being titled 'Houdini Live', but i keep seeing the 'A Live History Of Gluttony & Lust' bit either added or used instead. Why is that? I've seen some covers of the record have that title and others that don't. People keep refering to it under different names or add the 2005 bit on the end too. Being that im generally very (and i hesitate to use the word) anal about these kind of things, help!!!!
