Haha, I don't really try reveal it, do I? When I'm on board while I'm smoking, I always feel I leave a trail of confusion. Shit, I have missed Frasier on tv.

But come one, never ever thought of the combination Sabbath and The Stooges?

Vcavallo

personally i never made that connection.
and: i feel the same way when i am on the board high.  i always feel like i am making very little sense or that i am making it very obvious.
you weren't making it obvious....you had just included a " :toke: " in the "free weed" thread, and then i saw that you wrote on a bunch of other threads and when i took that emoticon into consideration while reading them all....it all just sorta seemed to make sense.

Dr. Grimes

I just bought this recently, and I've only gave it a spin once. It's really weird, threw some really unexpected stuff at me, and to be honest, I wasn't overly impressed. It definitely sounds like a grower to me though; I didn't like Stag the first few times. 'Tis the curious way of the Melvins.

ManWithNoName

HAT is definitely a grower but goddamn once it grows on you it's so satisfying to listen to.

It's so dirty yet so beautiful.

I just got HAT (finally, I know).

I do like it, but its weird, because this is the first one that I feel like describing as "just another Melvins album."

Which seems odd since the Melvins don't really have a history of repeating themselves, and the one thing I've always loved about them is that all their albums are very unique from each other while still sounding like the Melvins.

So HAT doesn't necessarily SOUND like another Melvins album, perhaps its just how I imagine the average Melvins album to sound even though they never really put out an average album.

It is a good album though, just seems... unremarkable... to me?

I do wish the production was a little heavier.
