Sounds great! Can anyone remember which songs were played as a two piece?

a handfull of the songs from NWB...can't remember which ones.

where is everybody? I was there and I want to hear what other people thought, too!

Thanks for the salacious tidbits, Pelican & MK3!  The Melvins chubb ever stiffens in anticipation for Chicago.  By the way, JZS, I plan on snagging as much merch as the pocket allows, so I'll PM you with a list of possible wants on Tuesday.  Cheers, all!
You had your chance and you gargled it's balls!

I slept with faith, and found a corpse in my arms upon awakening, we danced and drank all night with doubt, and I found her a virgin in the Morning.

this show was fucking GREAT. like the #1 concert i have ever been too, my 3rd time seeing the melvins. i was in the very front and that huge 'drum solo' thing was not a drum solo, but spread eagle beagle. this dumb girl in courtney love glasses next to me screamed for them to stop during this, and it was hilarious. this biotch had also been previously screaming in my ear during the whole 1983 set. however later i was also being drunk & obnoxious so whatever. i think i ended up slamming into her when i was jumping around during with teeth.

setlist.... let me see what i can remember... forgotten principles, oven, matt-alec, all of houdini, black bock, the bit, with teeth (i cried tears of joy), ballad of dwight frye, second coming.

this piss-drunk guy picked a fight with my boyfriend and threw his glasses into the crowd and his watch onstage. we got both back. :)

i talked to a guy taking pictures of the show to my left. next week, look for photos @ www.ghostfeed.com

i just had a really overall bad time with the crowd. someone pulled me away from my spot during honey bucket into the mosh pit.  :x i fought my way back in though. i mean there were like 800 people in this place.

Wanted to go to the No Fun fest today as well but I was just too tired.

Houdini was played out of order, they saved Going Blind for last.

Pelican hit the nail on the head, this was a much heavier, looser show than those with BB.

Holy shit...  really??  Sounds like a great show.   I'm longing for some European dates.
Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.

Centripetal core of soul sojourn the field vibrates to absolution. I climb toward the sun to breathe the universal.

Have you seen the bridge?  I ain't seen the bridge!  Where's that confounded bridge?!

dontyoutellme

hey. fantastic show.
saw ryan filming up top and then saw him briefly afterwards.

it was truly a melvins retrospective. out of the seven shows ive seen i'll give this the number three slot!
the good old days were back. can't remember the setlist -but someone will post it.
was grooving so hard i am actually laid up in bed unable to move. seeing melvins is like being blackout drunk in a way. i do things i have no control over and wake up sore the next morning. melvins orgy. i remember most of what happened, but i do this thing where i close my eyes when im moving and headbanging. the crowd was so much better than last year in brooklyn. i had a couple of friends with me who are def fans of the old school stuff. i can honestly say it was a flip the bird to big biz night. some of you may not like that, but it was really fucking sick.
dillard and dunn. nice.

umm,...c ,d. its already almost halfway through the year and nothing can top that. thanks to hanz for the dvds, sicksicksick. thanks to the crowd for not spilling beer on my head or screaming and obscuring my favorite songs. with ma heart<3
gamble gamble gamble DIE.

Pelican

I keep remembering little details.

I LOVE when Trevor pointed the tip of his bass straight into the ground and leaned on it when he played. It was usually during some of the best parts, heavy and slow as shit. I know it may seem strange to have that as a highlight, but it was for me. Can't tell you why exactly, it was just one of those things you see happen and say "now that's fucking cool".

It really was kind of like a retrospective as dontyoutellme said. And it would have been had they thrown in some Kevin-era work, as that was all that was missing. Throwing in the non-83 and non-Houdini songs really was a very pleasant surprise that I wasn't at all expecting, and they made for some of the best parts of the show.
