Melvins and Down to tour

Phil comes across as a huge dickhead (although in recent interviews I have seen he is definitely more humble), but that bieng said, I do like the bands he's been in (Pantera, Down, Arson Anthem).  From a crowd standponit though, a Melvins + Down show is just asking for trouble.

Last time I saw Down it was something like that except, you could barely understand what he was saying he was slurring so much. Sometimes he would just trail off like he fell asleep standing up, and he rambled on for so long the other band members just sat down and got comfortable. Yeah, that's what I paid to see.

I was searching for information on a Down Tour for this summer, and found a groupie site discussing Phil Anselmo.  The babble of groupies on this site will make your head hurt.  I think I've lost a little respect for humanity.  There were posts asking if anyone has slept with members of Flipper.  No Melvins posts to be found.

I hope that's the case. I'm hoping Down's music translates better live. Musically speaking, I can't complain, but Phil's vocals really turn me off on a lot of these tracks.
