Well you're so ugly your ears stick out to get away from your face.

Hey Glen, I went down your mama's road, let's just say they need to allocate more money in the budget for maintenance, if you know what I mean.

I love this thread ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE CAPS LOCK KEYS AND HOCKEY!

Most of the Down fans I've read are really excited to see the melvins; they're coming to this forum to learn more about the melvins and their fans, UNTIL they read this thread.

Here's a major Down forum:

Much ado about nothing.  Folks here were just dying for a little controversy.

If you want to learn more about the Melvins listen to their music and ignore their fans

ive never heard that idiot drummer playing but i have heard him playing guitar and i have to say he has a pretty sweet tone and nasty sound.

i really don't care much who the melvins decide to play with. there are always gonna be douchebags. at atp i had some drunk idiot skinhead in front of me trying to do some sort of slamdance during boris, maybe the guy didnt even like down?

and its totally irrelevant what those other guys are like personally, i myself dont know any of them on a personal level, and from what i have understood buzz likes to take it easy on tour anyway, so who does what doesn't really matter. but thanks for your concerns, its the thought that counts.

wait! You're right, it was the guitarist....
or was it.

My post was a joke. So is DOWN.

I'd still buy a ticket to get my hands on a
"see you in hell" shirt from the melvins
and a chance to see "Boris" live again.
The one and only....

Now I listened to some Down, and the verdict is that the music is ok, but the vocals aren`t. Can sound pretty ok live I guess. Liked "Bury me in smoke". Good guitar. A new singer would make it severly much better.

Bitches of Copacabana

I don't post a lot but I've been ghost reading on this forum for almost five years now.  (and it's the only forum I've looked at since the official Ipecac one closed)

I've come to the conclusion that as a true Melvins fanboy at heart living in the American South I was:

a.)  the only one "here" that was REALLY excited about this bill, as a fan of both Melvins and Down (sporting a Pantera shirt as I type)

b.)  the only one "here" that truly "gets it"... I mean come on guys, Buzz deciding to open for a Phil Anselmo-led band for their 25th anniversary tour... FUCKING CLASSIC MOVE

c.)  the only one thinking that the Melvins, without question, SHOULD BE the openers on a bill like this (Weedeater playing first of course)

Lastly:  a tour was supposed to come to fruition with Weedeater, Hank III, and Down earlier this year, it was actually announced... and now it's Weedeater, Melvins and Down.  You see?  You can play all sorts of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" type shit there and win in the first move.  And Hank isn't playing in Europe until August 21 so yeah, expect all sorts of whiskey-drenched surprises on this tour.
