one of their most underrated albums
It was the most underrated album by me. But situation is changing.
be patient,i'm pretty sure you'll love it
I can't say that I don't love it. And I very much love The Trilogy. But this album was just a transition stage between The Maggot and The Crybaby for me.

For some reason it's hard for me to compare the Maggot and the Bootlicker.  I simply refuse to choose which one is the better one.  The Bootlicker has this great, ominous, subtle atmosphere which I can't really describe and the Maggot brings the HEAVINESS.   They're just two completely different masterpieces and without this contrast the trilogy wouldn't be as good.    And yeah, then there is the Crybaby... I think I should give it a few more listens.
Everything was beautiful, and nothing hurt.

Centripetal core of soul sojourn the field vibrates to absolution. I climb toward the sun to breathe the universal.

Have you seen the bridge?  I ain't seen the bridge!  Where's that confounded bridge?!

the ether bunny

i dont understand the lack of love for the crybaby around these parts. some of the songs on it are gems. ie "mine is no disgrace" "spineless" and the majority of the rest of the album. the only track i ever skip on it is "smells like teen spirit" namely because i could go the rest of my life ithout hearing it or any versions of it ever again.

I agree, there are some really good tunes on it.  one of my favorites is Divorced.  I do listen to it now and then but not nearly as much as I listen to for example the Maggot or the Bootlicker..  I need to pay more attention to it.

Of the Trilogy, I would say the Bootlicker gets the most play time followed by the Maggot. Even though it is really mellow, it is still an incredible album.
What would a woman that fine want in a big, fat, nasty, greasy, fat, stank, bloated, cheesy-backed, 12-sandwich-eatin' bastard?

Turn around mister, and never trust a girl giving her donuts away for free.

Mad Arab

Have been listening to this lately. I must say that Bootlicker is a dandy gem of  an album. Mellow and psychedelic. Not enough Bootlicker love around here.

I wonder if anyone here doesn't like the Bootlicker.  It's a fantastic album.

I think they played "Let it All Be" with Big Biz lineup...hopefully they'll dig out more from this album for the new tour!

Yes they did.  I remember them playing it right after Set Me Straight/DCH and then during Let It All Be a mosh pit broke out behind me.  I thought it was an odd time to start moshing.

"The fast song is over guys!  Time to start moshing!"
