Primus have announced they will be playing a sidewave show in Melbourne supported by the Melvins.

The Melvins will be part of it!

26th Feb, Brisbane
27th Feb, Sydney
4th March, Melbourne (i'll be there)
5th March, Adelaide
7th March, Perth

I really hate festivals but i can't miss this one.

It's not as bad as festivals usually are.  Plus I completely get Buzz's mentality of not wanting to preach to the choir all the time.

but usually at big festivals like that bands dont get to much time on stage... but it would still be bad ass.. melvins are bad ass no matter what the situation or venue

any band plays any festival for the money.
it's all cool as long as bands play 'real' shows outside these ridiculous events, which i'm hoping the melvins will be doing when they support primus.

SC3 toured with claypool and the got about 45mins, so i'm a tad concerned we won't be getting a long melvins set- but you never know!

...either way it's better than paying through the ass to barely 'see' their set at that terrible festival.

still hoping for a 'secret' show in melb. at a tiny venue like the ding dong or something too.

I'm going to Brisbane - Slayer then Melvins, not bad!  Go get pissed for a bit, then go see Iron Maiden! Pretty sweet.

Looks like I'll be drinking beers killing time between High On Fire and Slayer. A little bummed - I would have liked to see Kylesa.

30 minute set on stage 4 in perth, bit lame.
last year ran the lighting console on stage 3... see what happens this year. that weekend is always huge for music in perth (public holiday monday). 2 huge festivals and normally a few other major gigs, means not enough sound/lights equipment to go round for our little isolated city. equipment being ripped out and chaotically transferred from gig to gig, not much if any sleep over 3 days. fun fun fun.
