Excuse me for that unclear post.
It would happen to you too, if you tried to speak Italian XD.

however I think this is an album a bit 'useless at this point in the history of the Melvins.

About of composition or sound, it does not add anything new to what has already been done dozens of times, and better...
what is the sense of going out with an LP at year?
why do not stop for a while and not looking for an evolution?

I hope my idea is clear.

You are listening to the music wrong.

deatheats

Well, in some ways they are intentionally revisiting "older" sounding material since this is Melvins '83 and all.

a bit of night goat, a bit of savage hippy and honey bucket in the end...

the Melvins need a turn or are too repetitive

It reminds a bit about Pigs of the roman empir too, it sounds brutally good!

"Useless"? I couldn't disagree with you any more.  I cant get enough of the Melvins, The fact that they have multiple versions (lite, 83, belvins, jelvins, etc)  is evidence of evolution in its self. What else do you expect, Buzz to give you a handy through the speaker?

As for the LP comment, I don't care if they release an album every other week, if its good, count me in.

Buckwheat

I think it's like deathteats mentioned, the songs are going to fit the style of the 1983 band.   The song structures are repetitive, but that's just their nature.   Look to the melvins (current version) to try something experimental.

Uncle Fester

The songs are weirder and not as "generic" punk rock than the 1983 material. With dale off the drum kit the sound of the band changes quite a bit too... I like it from what i have heard so far, probably one of my favorite line ups.

Too many records to buy this month. I'm already tight on cash. I think this will have to take a back seat to the new Red Fang, Polvo, Deltron and Big Biz.

Night Goat, sneaky and mean!
Spider in my dreams, I think I love you.
You make me wanna cry,
You make me wanna die.
Oh, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, Night Goat!

Every night you come into my room and pin me down,
With your strong arms you pin me down,
And I try to fight you!
You come inside me,
And fill me up and I become the night,
The passionate, passionate Night Goat!

I'm actually quite impressed with the production of this album!
My cow is not pretty, but it is pretty to me.

You sound surprised.  Toshi does fantastic work!

LuckMach3

Are we taking bets on how many professional reviews will give it a 6 or 7 out of 10?  How many times Kurt Cobain and Houdini will be mentioned?  If Pitchfork gives it a higher score than Chicken Switch? They won't
