Damn. As someone who was just bitching about Melvins production this one sounds Killer. I love the song, the production, everything. Of course the lyrics are ridiculous but they always have been. You can tell this was recorded in a different session that some of the other tracks they've released on this one.

has anyone noticed Dale's bass line? sounds really good!

Haha, i like the idea of when you listen to Melvins - you just hear Dale!!! Only the drums normally but then just the bass with 1983!!

I wonder why it is that every Melvins Ipecac album that gets released, we hear about it MONTHS in advance of the actual release date. Every time it seems to be an eternity! By the time they come out some of that excitement has waned away substantially for me. Although im just very impatient i guess. I remember it was a LONG wait until The Bride Screamed Murder came out after it was announced.

What is not to love about Dale?
True story, I have worked with Dale's brother for about 13yrs, we went to see them at the Paradise in Boston back in 2017 and in between baseball and Steve warming up, Dale showed us the Bad Move video on his phone.
Sometimes it is ok to meet your idols, especially when they then go play most of Lysol.

I'm refraining myself to listen to those songs until the album finally comes out.
Try to find that old feeling of mystery and surprise again, ahah!

I wonder if the repeat song titles could be in the same vein as The Maggot.

Hmm.. I hadn't thought of that. Interesting.

[Edit] I just saw the track lengths. Never mind. As someone mentioned, the duplicate track listings are probably the guys saying weird stuff.. which is a good thing.

Dumpster D

That's something I've wondered about for 20 years now.. double track titles on Maggot  with the Track changing in the middle of the same song.

I often thought maybe they did that thing to put gaps between tracks if you tried to copy the CD like an early form  of stopping piracy?

And if it was just a silly joke, huh?
They like that...silly jokes, eheheh!
