Ever have a Melvins dream?

but the mainthing is that I would like to make things clear, if in any case that should be important for anyone.

To me they definitely are, what made you think they might not be?

I had a dream once I was going to see the melvins live. That dream is now a reality. I leave in 3 hours!

So, I had another Melvins dream last night -

Dreamt I was in Denver catching them, and Hanz was with me.  We were at my mom's house, which is about 20 miles from the venue.   We had no way to get to the show, and the clock was tickin.  We had to hitchhike, catch a bus, and hop a train to get there.  We finally made it just in time, as everyone was get situated on stage.  I woke up shortly thereafter.

I hope this isn't a premonition in any way predicting what may happen in two weeks.

So, I had another Melvins dream last night -

Dreamt I was in Denver catching them, and Hanz was with me.  We were at my mom's house, which is about 20 miles from the venue.   We had no way to get to the show, and the clock was tickin.  We had to hitchhike, catch a bus, and hop a train to get there.  We finally made it just in time, as everyone was get situated on stage.  I woke up shortly thereafter.

I've had dreams about tons of different bands,usually right before or right after I see them or if I've become totally obsessed with them. The only Melvins dream I had was I got lost in Hollywood on the way to a Melvins show and my friends and I had just about given up getting there so we stopped in a pizza parlor to eat and when we walked in they were setting up and played an hour set. After the show I asked them how to get to the venue and they were like "oh shit, we need to get to our next gig" and they gave me directions so I went to see them again in the same night. Interestingly enough I ended up accidentally seeing them in the same week
I've actually had more dreams about Sleepytime Gorilla Museum shows, but they're not too interesting, I'd just go and watch them. The best one though was when I dreamed that they were playing in a mall and it erupted into a riot. I had a Merzbow dream once too where it was Merzbow and 3 other people in the Ralphs down the street from me and they were playing a set. The Weirdest band dream I've ever had has to be the dream about me going to see Gore Beyond  Necropsy (a noise/grindcore band) playing at what might've been The Alex Theater or some kind of playhouse. I walked in and sat down with my friend and they were going nuts on stage and then one of them punched my friend and he flew to the back of the theater and for some reason he couldn't get back to his seat. Then all the sudden he was back in his seat and the entire building turned around. GBN was filling a giant net with buckets of crickets. All the sudden the seats rose up and went above the stage and there were clouds in front of us and we had to guide our chairs through these rings but if we missed we'd die and if we went too low we'd touch the crickets. The seats landed back in their rightful place but by this time GBN had turned into a Queen cover band and the stage was  set up like a western musical. At this point a woman who looked like a flight attendant with a head made out of a latex balloon covered in papier mache started attacking my friend so I popped her head. GBN's set had ended and credits rolled in front of the stage set to western music.

That's an odd dream indeed.
The only Melvins dream I'd ever had was before I'd really gotten into them. It was shortly after I'd seen them with Primus in '93 and I'd dreamt that both bands were opening up for the Residents at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. I was all giddy since I was a huge Residents nerd at the time but in the dream I only got to watch the Melvins play and it was more of an experimental set than rock. These days I'll take the Melvins over both the Residents and Primus by far...

That's generally how my dreams go, and that's good. It would be so incredibly lame if my dreams acted like real life.
