Strictly geeky thoughts here... but I was listening to this today and Buzz's vocals sound particularly awesome on this album. And the multitracked chorus vocal of 'At The Stake' kinda points the way forward to the harmony vocals they use so much in the latest version of the band.
For your health!

as with all other Melvins releases, I love this one, and it is one of the cds I play first(along with Houdini) for people who have never heard the band before as it is one of their more "accessible" albums
What would a woman that fine want in a big, fat, nasty, greasy, fat, stank, bloated, cheesy-backed, 12-sandwich-eatin' bastard?

Turn around mister, and never trust a girl giving her donuts away for free.

best drum sound ever

Yes! Best reordered album ever! That guitar tone too....In the car, on an expensive stereo and on shitty little $2.00 earphones. This album sounds great and mixed very well.

the first time I ever heard 'Revolve', I listened to it at least 10 or 15 times in a row. For some reason that riff and that "groove" or whatever you want to call it, really jumped out at me. I was very thrilled to hear them play it live the first 2 times I saw them.

Two albums from the Melvins in the same year. What have we done to deserve this blessing? Or is it? Prick, released on AmRep this summer, is an experimental prick-tease. The opening track,

It is indeed a "groove" and it is a BEAST! When that baby drops the shit hits the fan.

I remember At the Stake completely kicking my ass into submission the first time I listened to this record.  It was a religious experience.
Oh Yeah!  I forgot to take my pills.....

Hello all.
i was looking for some help on this.
I was at a record convention and stumbled upon a Stoner Witch LP still sealed.
I offered the guy $30 and he bit!
When i got home, I cracked it open and saw that the wax was HOT PINK!
Anybody know how many were pressed in pink?

anaconda

There's some speculation that it was a single pressing of 5000:
