but why did they split all the tracks? prolly just to fuck w/people.
their most consistent heavy album.

i think it was to screw up some different types of playing abilities on sterios. wink

this is one of my favorite albums along with bullhead, houdini, and stag.

I love the Maggot.  The Trilogy has always been my favorite of the Melvins catalogue though not by much as I like all their stuff.  I have a coworker who is always asking about music and what to get next.  I recommended The Trilogy and he got The Maggot but didin't like it too much.  It was too metal for him I think or maybe too heavy.  I don't know maybe he just doesn't like it.

awww.... a revival of glen's debut thread.
how nostalgic.  i remember these days, i was home on some break and posted obsessively for a while.
honestly, i came upon this thread while searching for glen's first post.     i haven't been around much, but i'm still secretly in love with everyone here.
shhhh, don't tell anyone i know in real life, they think i've gotten over this addiction.  i thought i have too, but i'm not sure its possible.
themelvins.net/forum: more educational than heroin, but far more dangerous.

hey, who's gonna make the tshirts?  there was once talk (probably by me) about having themelvins.net/bbs shirts made.  if i remember correctly, there was popular interest in the matter, as well.  can we pull this together?  i'd wear it every day.  maybe melvins-related stuff on the front and message board stuff on the back, so it feels like a melvins shirt as well?

Quotefirst of all: brand spankin new member out of MI.
second of all: what better place to start than THE MAGGOT?
goddamn genious.  the dirtiness (is dirteness a for real word?) of this album puts goosebumps on top of goosebumps.  yeah, this album has "fuzzy" production but..........   isn't that the point?

no, i wasn't hunting for any virus.  i was thinking that since i've been around here, you have risen to well-known and mostly popular status faster than anyone i've seen.  it wasn't a bad thing at all.  i wanted to see what the first thing you said was.  quite glennish from day 1
we should probably stop this reminiscing now

wtf?
a few months ago i heard "the green manalishi" on the local radio station here, except it wasn't the melvins.
it was some 80's sounding hair band and it kinda sucked.. lmao
is this song a cover of a different band?
i always thought it seemed very buzz... but then i guess that live peach cover sounded like tool. (feat. buzz, of course)

(PAUL)

Yeah, it's a cover of Fleetwood Mac, back when Peter Green was in the band. Judas Priest also does a cover of it, that's probably the version you heard on the radio. We ALL love JUDY.
Hail, not fail.
PS:  fuck him.
