no no,unfortunately the story is less exciting .i have only read the booklet while i was listening to Stag this morning,it says Buzz,Dale and Mackie play drum on Lacrimosa.i never noticed that.
and i repeat..in my opinion the stuff on Atlantic plus Honky is pure genius.

Agreed. It has everything that the Melvins are capable of in one package. It's ALWAYS the Melvins album I use as an introduction for folk that've never heard them before. It's always a winner too with tracks like "Black Bock" & "Captain Pungent" not to mention the superb "Cotton Mouth".

I'd say it is the best song i have heard them play, but the sound at the gig was terrible for the first 3/4 so i didn't get a proper listen to most of their stuff. The sound guy just kept going from bass to treble with all their instruments and the vocals just sounded off.

But i have to agree that Stag is one of the greatest albums of all time definitely in my (M)elvi(n)s top 5.
