besides... usually when you hear one of those live bootlegs you notice the mic picking up various conversations, some fucking idiot yelling "YOU SUCK!!!" over and over again, etc.

Glen, how is my post "down-talking"?
Dissagreement sure but not downtalking.
Actually I can't think of a proper live recording where the crowd has distracted the music.
I really wish, if you feel unsure of your statements you wouldn't take it out on me.
Trust me I'm not irritated at all.

Thanks of the appreciation of my band, if that was on a serious note.

:?

I DO like your band greven. I listened to the mp3's on your website.  seriously, good stuff.

maybe its me.  maybe I take you wrongly.  but if I DO take you wrongly I am not the only one.
but you must admit, you have a tendency to be slightly abrasive in your posts.
wether you intend it or not, your posts come across as..... angry and irratated.

I apologize to you if I misread you.  maybe I assumed based upon your general persona here. its amazing how an actual personality can be conveyed by simply typing statements.
I like you greven, you help bring some diversity to this board. this is a good thing.

my bad.

but tell me this... have the majority of the people here not commented on the fact that there is absolutely no crowd noise on this disc what-so-ever?     answer: yes, they have.   therefore they must be saying that because it is abnormal for most live recordings.  in other words, in most live recordings you CAN hear crowd noise.   unless of course my limited knowledge of this subject is missing the fact that this "crowd noise" is added in mixing or whatever.

I have thought about this slightly.
I think the best way to describe you would be "unapologetic".  and you are correct, why should you be? the point of these places is to express your opinion, not apologize for it.
I was wrong in "jumping your shit". I should not have done that.

and I see your point about individual crowd noise as well.
people can say what they want about you greven, but you ARE articulate. no doubt about it.

I'm listening to "DCH" right now, weird artwork by the way, specially the snowman side.

cartoons, chocolate milk & rock 'n' roll!!
Fuzz is love.
Foot fetishism means love, because, it's the magic of feet odor... Long live depravation.

Anyone else think Trevor's sound/tone is slightly too much in the background on this album? His playing is great. I just think sometimes the bass is buried in the mix(think of ...And Justice For All, but not to that extreme), and his tone is too treble-y, not enough low end(most noticable on the intro to Night Goat). I'm probably going to get shit for saying this, but I couldn't help but notice after hearing some older boots w/ Mark D. & Kevin.(thanks to dudbean) I also should add that his tone/sound on the Zorn release "Moonchild" is outstanding. He should have used that same setup on Houdini Live. I wonder if Buzz/Dale more or less told him how they wanted the bass to sound or else let him come up with it.

Chuck Hartford

I bet you dollars to donuts that Trevor Dunn's contributions were minimal if any.

Anyone else think they should have picked a take of Hooch where Buzz got the lyrics right? Oh well...

Yeah, I noticed that too. I wouldn't have realized it if I hadn't been reading along with the lyrics from the original Houdini booklet.

By the way, did anyone notice how the snowman's arm isn't brown or whatever like a stick should be? It's as if it were made of snow too...
