Congrats Camaroballa!!! Lysol is one of the best Melvins things you can own on vinyl and in my humble opinion, It is one of their most interesting and important albums. I wish I read this years ago when I tried to just use my fingernail to remove the tape. I really wanna try your method but since I already sorta fucked up the corners on my tape and used scotch tape to hold them down I don't think mine would come out well. Nice Beatles comparison, however I don't think any copies of Lysol were released without the tape no? Most folks who have one were smart enough to take the tape off when they first purchased it. I love the cover art too, recently I found a seller on ebay selling 1920's lithographs of the same pic So I bought one and had it framed for my living room. It came out rather well...

I also have a framed lithograph from the 20s of this.  Got it in a trade, and it's lovely!!

Cut the matte and fitted it myself.  It's a little more simple, but goes with the Japanese antiques I collect.  I'll post a pic later.  Anyone else have framed this or the LP want to share?

Here's your chance, if you missed it:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hepa-Titus-Follow-Me-LP-Melvins-sugar-daddy-mudhoney-Haze-XXL-84-of-200-/221185763954?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item337fb2ea72

From what I understand, this was a rendering for a statue.  Have you seen the statue (in white marble I believe)?

anaconda

Cyrus Dallin sculpted many versions of it, in many different scales and mediums.
Some in brass, some in marble, some even cast in steel. The piece is called
'Appeal to the Great Spirit'

So was the litho a rendering for, or an accompaniment to the sculpture?  It took someone's observation of this image on a live Beach Boys LP to remind me where I first became aware of it.  I knew I saw it before Lysol was released...

Does anyone here have:  It's Shoved/Forgotten Principles and/or Way of the World/Theme  they want to sell?  I am missing these two from the 1-12 Singles released.
ha, they were the only two i owned and sold them both last year.
