OK, im in a better mood now. I origionally wrote a review for NWB here(
http://www.themelvins.net/forum/index.php?topic=9534.420) and i basically said it was stale.
The record has grown on me now and I'd like to give another review.
So as I was about to put this disc on the back burner till maybe summer(tour time) i ended up playing at a friends house while we watched the Pistons get their nose rubbed in it.
No let me start by saying we were under an influence(not meth though). Which i think is the best way to "hear" music.
I was locked into this record. The mix of the guitar/bass tones, on top of the nice tight drums-add these awesome harmonies, really had me into it. The vocal parts on this could possibly be my favorite among all Melvins releases.
I think I first listened to this expecting ASA. But instead they went and utilized their talents a little more . Nice job utilizing.
This record is awesome. Definitely a grower for me. But now I can't wait to see them. maybe this time around i'll buy and advanced ticket.
