I learned to play Billy Fish and it's probably my favorite song to play, ever.  The riffage to the part where Jared takes lead vocals is so simple, but so fucking rocking.  The feeling it gives me in my spine is comparable to injecting kilo loads of opiates into my eyeball.

I have been a melvins fan since I was 17 years old. I am now 28. Maybe its just me, but I cant tell you one CD the melvins has done since their major label that I can say is a great album. I think bootlicker has a few good songs, and I like the senile animal cd. Buzz's voice really annoys me on this cd. Its like the maggot voice, and whoever mixed this cd is a moron for making the vocals so loud that it over powers the music terribly. I seen the melvins in dallas this last go around, and I thought it was one of thier best shows till they played the really short set. Maybe I was spoiled from the Ween show I seen a few months before where they played for 3 hours, who knows.

My point is, I can't even listen to this CD. I feel like they just threw this CD together. Buzz's lyrics are getting annoying, and I feel like almost every song on this CD I have heard on another melvins CD at one point or another. I really thought the senile animal was going to be their turning point as I felt and feel that that is their best CD since stoner witch.

I didnt write start a fight, or to be mean to anyone. I just feel let down by a band who I had looked up to.

Agreed, you get the same experience compared to the original cd. People who claim otherwise are.... well you know, they're wrong!

Because you lose a lot with mp3 compression, particularly in the high end frequencies.  There is a reason why a 5 minute wav file will be 50mb and a 5 minute mp3 at 192kbs will be like 5 mb, that's a lot of information lost.  Sure, you get the idea, but it's far from the full sound intended and recorded.
