Saw them in Pomona tonight. It was great to see Coady in the Melvins again. Also missed Dale! Now I want double drums Melvins again. They dedicated the set to Dale. It was really sweet!
They played 2 shows in Pomona?? I was at last Friday's show. Did they play the at the Glass House again??

did Coady play the drum solo at the end of Cow?
He did and he put everything he had into it.

On a side note, does this guy age?? It looks like he's been 24 years old for the last 20 years.  :)

you can totally feel it's not Dale playing
Yes. Which made the gig feel slightly off. Not something the casual listener would notice.

Tonight at the show, Steve gave a brief update on Dale and said that he was at home resting. I guess he had the surgery?? Maybe Steve was a little too brief.

My brief recap...It was a good show. Coady filled in as best he could but honestly, it felt slightly off without Dale. Not surprising. I imagine he and Buzz have an extra sense between the 2 that is impossible to duplicate. They played the entire Bullhead album except If I had an Exorcism. The highlight was Steve. What a showman!! At one point he and Buzz seemed to be playfully stalking each other. There's good chemistry between the 2. I brought my daughter with me for her 1st Melvins gig. She had a great time. So, that was memorable for me. Got some good merch and a nice bloke running the booth. A big card that read 'We love you Dale' which was signed by the audience was given to Steve to give to Dale. Pretty sweet that someone thought to do that.

His YouTube videos have been fascinating. Thoroughly enjoy them. The one about Alchemy records was very interesting. Even the recent one about his hat collection kept my interest. I hope he keeps them coming.

I just found out about this tonight, right now at the show in Pomona, CA. I signed a huge ass card that a fan made to give to our drum god. Here's to hoping all goes well. Terrible news.

Coady will be filling in but it just won't be the same.

Killer show from '92.
I really wish they still opened with Charmicarmicat.

I am very interested in listening to the noise from this collaboration. Two powerhouse bands.

I got 3, and made one into a magnet so I can throw it on anything.
Except aluminium, presumably.   :nerd:
Or an MRI machine. It'll actually demagnetize a weak magnet.
