So anyways enough of this elitist vinyl vs cd bullshit. You've all lost sight of what's important and that is the fact that 2010 will see a new release by THE FUCKING MELVINS. The only thing that's important is that we all contribute financially to the Melvins be it via CD, Vinyl, or both. Now please, STFU about it or go start a thread in the music section so we can continue discussing the new melvins record.

i can't believe it's been that long!
Oh so very true. Two years between Melvins albums is... something to get used to. As long as they don't become a bunch of TOOLs and require 5 years of meditation to release a new album. I can't complain. It's not like they've been inactive either.

I can't wait to hear what Buzz meant by "weird/strange" when he described the new direction for this album. I'll go out on a limb and say I'll probably love it.

Christ, I wonder why people still like vinyl and I'm told to "STFU about it" while you bring back a tired Tool joke on a thread that has nothing to do with Tool.  I swear it's ironic that the only time I ever hear about them anymore is when people on this board complain about them.

It's inevitable that people are going to want the vinyl for this record anyway and around page 30 of this thread, after the album is out, people were going to bring it up anyway.  I was wondering why people gave a shit other than using it as a collectors item, because it was brought up earlier.  My question was answered and I quit posting about it.

This thread makes me laugh and puke.

Wasn't aware this entire forum was made up of music EXPERTS, fucking clowns. Same goes for the vinyl thread I recently read.

I'm spending too much time on this board - time for some fresh air.

It's just opinions on a message board for a somewhat obscure band.  If you are that worked up about it I'd say yes, get some fresh air.

New name but I've been here about as long as you.  Did you take that walk yet?

Buick GN

Ah, my mistake.

Yes, took a nice but wet bike ride downtown. Snapped photos of recently closed businesses and the homeless.

I think it's what Obama calls 'Change'.

Heh cool.  By the way, don't take anything I say without a grain of salt.  I'm full of shit 80% of the time.  Plus I'm usually drunk when I'm on here.

But to get back on track and actually talk about the new Melvins album, the new drums have me excited.  I can't begin to imagine what this one is going to sound like.

Drunk?

On this forum?

No way!

I just hope that it's not too "noise-rockish".  That would really suck if it sounded like Colossus of Destiny.

There, I said it.
