Some good insight into their future plans there. So it seems that the Boris tour isn't going to produced anything between the bands. Or at least not this year anyway. The Helms Alee collab is on the way later in 2023 and then a brand new album which is almost finished to be released next Spring. Roy Mayorga drums on some of the songs.

Buzz is 100%, absolutely correct with his take on Prince. Glad someone famous has the balls to say it in print.

Liking the sound of certain music is all subjective but the facts are Prince had more talent in his little finger than Buzz ever had. And I'm not a Prince fan either I just know he absolutely smokes Buzz as a musician and songwriter.

You might think it's ballsy Buzz taking shots at everyone all the time but in reality it reflects on him as a person and how insecure he really is despite the false bravado he always puts on.

Agreed 100% bigval

Agree to Agree.

Buzz fucking rules, he created my favorite band and songs ever.

But Prince was indeed a master of his craft.

I would say that anyone that says they do not like Prince either has bad taste in music or is trying to be controversial.

On Prince:
OK I'll admit he's a great songwriter and a unique artist. Maybe it's because his best known work is from the mid to late '80s, but the production/drums sound atrocious. Many great artists got sucked into the '80s digi-crap wall of sound.
IMO he is/was to funk music what Def Leppard's Hysteria album is to hard rock/heavy metal.
Lastly this business where anyone would rank him in the top 20 of guitarists of all time is laughable. That's what a Rolling Stone poll/list would have you believe.

Nizamark

ranking art and artists at all is what's laughable.

but having seen prince live 10 times, i will say that he was easily one of the most gifted guitarists i've ever witnessed. and one of the most entertaining.

yeah, not trying to be dumb, edgy or controversial, but Prince just grates on me. i can't really think of anything he does that wasn't already done better by others. can't stand his high pitched voice either. but i do admit he is multitalented. just not making anything i want to hear.

That is totally relevant - vocals ruin many a good band for me. TOOL, Flaming Lips, Radiohead - those fucking vocals ruin everything with me for those bands. Seen all three of them live too (never by choice!) and live I still couldn't do it. But - they are talented as all hell and people love them.

Was lucky enough to see Rince at Coachella and that really did cement my fandom. He stalks the stage and scowls, but also gets those Townshend demonstrative strums in. How can Buzz not like that? I bet give it ten years and he'll be talking about how no one appreciates yada yada from Prince. Like how he did a 180 on Miles Davis and On the Corner the past decade.

black stallion

wonder if the interview has been recorded before they found out that Dale couldn't be on this tour because it's weird that there's no talking about it
