Not sure where this thread has mutated to but I did have a dream involving the Melvins once.
I dreamed that I was either auditioning for them, or just jamming with them, it wasn't clear, but it took place in a closed and condemned Shoney's restaurant, and we all had our amps set up on the salad bar.
Two weird things:
1) In the dream, I originally had my bass at the time (black and gold epiphone GIII reverse), which would have made sense, but when we actually started playing, I was playing guitar, and it was one I have never owned, a heavily-worn black strat with a black pickguard, and the pickups pulled and replaced with two humbuckers. I normally play strat style guitars, but never an actual strat, usually a Peavey.) I know that's not all that weird, but to this day, my post-dream logic constantly bothers me on that point.*
2) We weren't playing a Melvins song. We covered "Would?" by AiC.
* Addendum: After losing all my gear to Hurricane Katrina and an exploding pawnshop, I went to a pawnshop in Austin, and almost bought. . .a black-on-black strat. Looked just like the one in the dream, except no custom pickups.
